Small Group Workshops - Watch this space for 2020 announcements
Why choose independent childbirth education with Connected Journey Doula and Counselling Service? The majority of women will be offered their local hospital childbirth classes. These classes can be a starting point in learning about labour and birth, with a general focus on the physiology of birth, medical pain relief options and interventions. Many women feel they need more information and start exploring the internet, reading books and watching YouTube clips in their quest to feel more informed and empowered leading up to their birth. Independent childbirth education is for all women - regardless of what stage you are in your pregnancy, whether you have given birth before, if you have already attended your hospital class, or how you would like to give birth. It offers you current evidence based information with an opportunity to explore ALL your options and choices, classes are interactive and are in a small group environment so you feel comfortable to ask questions and get to know the other participants. Most importantly, independent childbirth education encourages you to find ways to apply what you are learning to your own personal experience, which builds your confidence and empowers you.
I facilitate small group workshops with my sister Cristy Russell from Empowering Birth and Breastfeeding. Together we offer unique, small group workshops run in both Gippsland and Berwick . Topics include:
* Active Birth * Deciding What is Right for You: Pain Management During Labour and Birth * Birth Plans: What is all the fuss about? * Holding Your Space * The Fourth Trimester and Postnatal Healing
